Jerk-Offs On Detroit School Board Sued by Ex Board Boss: School board president Anthony Adams is accused of contributing to the hostile environment by requesting that Gueyser not file a report against former school board president Otis Mathis III. Mathis repeatedly sexually harassed Gueyser, including touching her knee and buttocks, according to the lawsuit.

“I will reserve comment until I have had the opportunity to review it,” Adams said of the lawsuit.

On Friday, Mathis had intended to plead guilty to a felony charge of misconduct in office, having been accused of fondling himself in a meeting with Gueyser. Upon hearing about Gueyser’s lawsuit, he changed his plea to no contest. Yipppeee! Free Money in Japan! Japan’s central bank lowered its benchmark interest rate to a range of 0 percent to 0.1 percent Tuesday, a tiny change from its previous target of 0.1 percent but a symbolic slide into an age of zero interest rates.

The Bank of Japan also said it would set up a temporary 5 trillion yen, or $60 billion, fund to buy Japanese government bonds, commercial paper and other asset-backed securities amid concerns over weakening growth in the world’s third-largest economy.

With the interest rate cut, the central bank effectively reintroduces a zero-interest rate policy for the first time since July 2006. The decision underscores concerns that a strong yen and persistent deflation threaten the country’s fragile economic recovery.

The CA Supremes Cannot do the Work of State Workers (but the unions won’t tell them that):
The California Supreme Court ruled this morning that state workers were legally furloughed and are not entitled to back pay.

The ruling affects more than 200,000 state workers forced by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to take unpaid days off since February 2009.

Harold Nicholson At It Again: Harold Nicholson, 59, sent his son around the globe to collect what he considered to be his “pension,” and told the Russian government about his older children’s debt. He also told them he was thankful for the money and reassured them his son was trustworthy.

The elder Nicholson pleaded guilty in 1997 to conspiring to commit espionage after being paid $300,000 to pass CIA secrets to the Russians.
