Schwarzenegger also turned down a bill by Assemblywoman Hannah_Beth Jackson, D_Santa Barbara, that would have encouraged schools to disclose the nutritional content of their lunches.

Providing parents with information about the nutritional value of what their children eat at school would only result in a "marginal change in behavior," Schwarzenegger claimed.

"The bill is unnecessary because school districts currently have the ability to implement a school lunch program that offers more lowfat options along with nutritional posting without the enactment of this measure," he added.
